Welcome to http://www.syxis.co.uk/~rob, my something-like-a-website! It's permanently under construction, so expect things to change between visits. There's a lot of very strange stuff thrown together, and most of it is totally irrelevant if you don't go to Cambridge - see the About Me section. Other than that, this site a few HOWTO guides - such as setting up a computer running Windows XP on the CUDN, and many many photos.
If you're wondering about the "Get Firefox" icon below, try it! Firefox is an alternative web browser for Windows, Linux and others that is, in my opinion, far superior to Internet Explorer. Amongst its features are tabbed browsing, popup window and advert blocking - which alone make it worthwhile!

Now that the final class lists have been published, I've put my dissertation online. It's on the subject of "Adaptive Replication over Limited Bandwidth Links". If you're interested, you can download it in PDF form.

A rather non-update :-) - 2005-05-19
Lots of work at the moment, hence the total lack of updates. I do still exist, honest! Most of the time at least. I'm planning to rearrange the photo galleries a bit at some point (probably after exams), in an attempt to make this site a bit more organised and possibly even interesting to people who aren't my friends. The vast quantities of random pictures will be moving to www.pod.me.uk - they aren't going entirely! Oh, and I changed some of the date formats around. They should all be year-month-day now... much easier for a computer to sort. Sorry, I'm a compsci... what did you expect?
New photo galleries - 2005-02-10
I've finished redesigning the photo galleries now, which means they are now in the same format as the rest of the site, and also makes it much easier for me to upload new photos in future!
New site design - 2005-01-26
I've finally got around to redesigning the site - something I've been meaning to do for the last year or so. Pretty much since I finished the last design, in fact. I haven't converted everything yet, and the photo galleries are going to be undergoing a fairly major redesign too, so bear with me!
